Dr. Francesca Frere

Dr. Francesca Frere grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland before attending The University of Tampa. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry. After graduating, Dr. Frere worked full-time as a veterinary technician before attending veterinary school at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. There, Dr. Frere discovered her passion for pathology while working in a virology laboratory on campus where she studied Usutu and West Nile Virus, among others. After obtaining her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Frere returned to Maryland where she practiced in a small animal exclusive practice prior to moving to New Hampshire in 2022.

Her areas of interest include clinical pathology, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She also completed additional training to become Fear Free Certified because she believes that her patient’s emotional well-being is just as important as their physical well-being.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Frere shares her life with her fiancé, Taylor, and their Australian Shepherd, Clark. She enjoys hiking, bike riding, baking, and playing board games in her free time.
